The Office for Ethnic and Intercultural Communities meets with the leaders of each cultural community throughout the year. Vicar General Father Michael Pham, who leads the Office, updates them on the news and projects at the diocese. He listens to their concerns, taking them back to diocesan leadership to work toward potential solutions.
The Office partners with each community, offering guidance and support to carry out its plans and annual events, which Father Pham attends and shares with the broader Catholic community through the diocese’s media.
Each community’s overall goal is to grow, welcoming new members, particularly young people, the Church’s present and future.
The Office brings all the communities together several times a year to foster understanding among them, to encourage them to participate in diocesan events, and to utilize and enrich the diocese’s resources and services.
